Fuel injection system i.e. common-rail injection system, for injecting diesel fuel in self-ignition internal combustion engine, has emulsification device arranged between low-pressure system and high-pressure system
The system has a low pressure system with a tank (1) and a low pressure pump (2), and a high-pressure system with a high pressure pump (6). An emulsification device (3) is arranged between the low pressure system and the high-pressure system. The emulsification device comprises a turbulence space (5), and is integrated into the high pressure pump. Fuel stored in a high-pressure accumulator (7) is removably driven by a fuel injector (8) for injection of the fuel in to a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The emulsification device is formed as a turbulence device, a turbulence nozzle (4) and an ultrasound generator.
