The unit (1) has a hydrostatic piston engine (2a) i.e. hydraulic motor, arranged in a machine housing (3) that is attached at a carrying flange (5) by anti-vibration units (6). The anti-vibration units are formed by multiple socket-shaped uncoupling elements. The housing is hung at multiple fixing points in a multi-point suspension by the uncoupling elements. The uncoupling elements are formed such that power transmission and torque transmission are carried out between the housing and the flange in three translatory degrees of freedom and three rotary degrees of freedom, respectively. The carrying flange is designed as an axle housing (4), a wheel hub housing or a component of the axle housing or the wheel hub housing. The uncoupling elements are designed as rubber metal composite sockets, elastomer metal composite sockets, plastic sockets, metal wire braided fabric sockets or fluid damping bearing sockets.
