The building has a wooden pellet storage shaft (4) including a side wall (6) and another side wall, which form a leg of a U-shape and are connected by a third side wall. Front surfaces of the former and the latter walls are water-tightly connected with a building wall (2) by sealing elements. A supply unit (22) i.e. filling pipe, and removal devices (34) i.e. suction probes, are provided in respective shaft upper and lower regions. An access door (30) i.e. transparent fire protection door, for the shaft is integrated in the building wall in a region between the former and the latter walls. The pellet storage shaft is made of concrete. The access door includes transparent acryl lamellas in a direction of the shaft.
