The vehicle has an electric motor which is driven by electric current, where the electric current is generated by two generators (3,4). The generators are driven by two separate drive shafts (8,9). The electrical power supply required for the driving operation duration initially takes place by externally charged batteries (1,2). An additional drive train is installed on the rear chassis near the rear wheel of the vehicle. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a vehicle.
