Disclosed is a blood vessel inner wall analyzing device provided with a structure for more accurately analyzing the components of the accretion on the inner wall of a blood vessel The blood vessel inner wall analyzing device (1) is provided with an irradiating means, a detecting means, and an analyzing means. The irradiating means irradiates a measurement region through an end surface (30b) of an irradiation fiber (30) introduced in the carotid artery (C) with a light component in the measurement wavelength range from 1957 nm to 2713 nm. The detecting means captures the light component from the measurement region through an end surface (40a) of a light receiving fiber (40) in the carotid artery (C). Each of the light components to be detected is included in the detection wavelength ranges each of which has a width of ±15 nm from the center wavelength selected from a wavelength group of specific wavelengths included in the measurement wavelength range. The analyzing means analyzes the presence/absence of a substance different from the blood using information about the intensity of the detected light component.
