PURPOSE: A polarizer for an in-plane switch mode LCD and an in-plane switch mode LCD comprising the same are provided to improve the contrast ratio and color change rate in an oblique direction.;CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel is driven in an in-plane switch mode. A first polarizer is attached to a side of the liquid crystal panel, wherein the absorption axis of a polarizing element is arranged to be parallel with an optical axis of a liquid crystal cell. A second polarizer is attached to the other side of the liquid crystal panel, wherein the absorption axis of a polarizing element is arranged to be perpendicular to the optical axis of the liquid crystal cell.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
