METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE COMMON COLD PATIENTS USING METEOROLOGICAL FACTORS

PURPOSE: A method for predicting the number of cold patients by using weather factors is provided to easily predict the number of current cold patients by using the weather factors based on statistical data according to the number of past cold patients. CONSTITUTION: A regression coefficient corresponding an individual weather factor is calculated based on statistics about the number of cold patients and individual weather factors in a preset range according to a least-squares method (S101). A multiple regression prediction formula is generated by designating the regression coefficient as a dependent variable and designating the individual weather factor as an independent variable (S103). The existence of multicollinearity about the individual weather factor is determined by calculating a variance inflation factor and a tolerance limit about the individual weather factor (S105). The multiple regression prediction formula is modified by removing a clause corresponding to the individual weather factor (S107).
