PURPOSE: A method for a suppression and a detection of an interference signal in a frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar is provided to detect effectively an interference signal which is relatively small comparing with a received signal, and to suppress the interference signal through a band-stop filter.;CONSTITUTION: A method for a detection of an interference signal in a frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar comprises the following steps: a signal piece step (S400) aims to divide into pieces by using a pre-set window in a received bit signal; a Fourier transform step (S410) aims to perform a Fourier transform about each piece; a spectral magnitude mean value examine step (S420) aims to examine a spectral magnitude mean value within an information band section in a spectrum of the each piece which is Fourier-transformed; a window moving step (S430) aims to perform the spectral magnitude mean value examine step or the signal piece step by moving the pre-set window to another position among the received bit signals; a change amount calculate step (S440) aims to calculate a change amount of the bit signal by using the spectral magnitude mean value; and an interference generate spot predict step (S450) aims to predict an interference generate spot, and to detect whether the interference signal is generated or not by comparing the calculated change amount with a threshold.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (AA) Start; (BB) End; (S400) Divide the received bit signal into pieces; (S410) Perform a Fourier transform about each piece; (S420) Examine a spectral magnitude mean value within an information band section; (S430) Repeat the previous steps by using the pre-set window; (S440) Check whether there is interference or not by using the change of the size of the spectrum; (S450) Recognize the occurrence of interference when RAS is above a threshold
