PURPOSE: A method for downlink beamforming using interference alignment in a two-tier network is provided to mitigate cross-tier interference as well as intra-tier interference in the two-tier network where femtocell networks are placed densely or randomly in a macro-cell network.;CONSTITUTION: A method for downlink beamforming using interference alignment in a two-tier network where one MIMO macrocell and a plurality of MIMO femtocells exist comprises the steps of: determining a zero-forcing receiving vector of each macrocell user equipment (MUE) by distinguishing the nearest interfering femtocell access point (FAP) of each macrocell user equipment (MUE) sharing subchannels in the MIMO macrocell (10); determining a transmit beamforming vector from a macrocell base station (MBS) such that MUE is orthogonal to each other (12); determining a transmit beamforming vector from each MUE using interference alignment (14); and determining a receive beamforming vector of each femtocell user equipment (FUE) to be orthogonal in interference subspace that is aligned by interference alignment (16).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (10) Determine a zero-forcing receiving vector of each macrocell user equipment (MUE) by distinguishing the nearest interfering femtocell access point (FAP); (12) Determine a transmit beamforming vector from a macrocell base station (MBS) such that MUE is orthogonal to each other; (14) Determine a transmit beamforming vector in FAP in order to align the interferences from each FAP and MBS for a FUE; (16) Determine a receive beamforming vector of each femtocell user equipment (FUE) to be orthogonal in interference subspace that is aligned by interference alignment; (AA) Start; (BB) End
