摘要

PURPOSE: A steel quality control method for continuous casting is provided to control generation of hook defects by controlling factors which affect the depth of a hook which is generated inside a mold.;CONSTITUTION: A steel quality control method for continuous casting comprises the following steps. The width of casting (A), the discharge rate (B) of molten steel which is charged from a submerged nozzle, the speed of casting (C), the degree of superheat of molten steel (T) are measured (S10). The width of casting, the discharge rate, the speed of casting, and the degree of superheat of the molten steel are measured to be used for calculating a hook index (S20). The length and inclination of each hook are produced (S30). The depth of the hook, which expresses the straight-line distance from the surface of a solidified shell to the end of the hook, is calculated (S40).
