PURPOSE: A metal artifact reduction method of computed tomography (CT) increases the image quality of CT by a process of matching data of a metal peripheral part with data of a non-metal part.;CONSTITUTION: A metal artifact reduction method comprises a first step of obtaining projected images by CT (S100); a second step of reconstructing the projected images into 3D images (S200); a third step of matching the reconstruction images with scan data images (S300); a fourth step of determining a 3D coordinate of a metal area in the reconstruction area using the matched result (S400); a fifth step of mapping the determined 3D coordinate data to the projected images and removing the 3D coordinate data in simulation (S500); a sixth step of correcting the projected images (S600); and a step of reconstructing the projected images to the 3D images (S700).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (AA) Start; (BB) End; (S100) Obtain projected images using a CT scan; (S200) Reconstruct the projected images into 3D images; (S300) Match the reconstructed images with scan data images; (S400) Determine a metal area's 3D coordinates in the reconstructed area using the matching resu (S500) Map the determined 3D coordinate data to the projected images and remove the 3D coordinate data in simulation; (S600) Correct the projected images; (S700) Reconstruct the corrected images into the 3D images
