PURPOSE: An alloy wire and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to utilize the same for an efficient wire bonding process for an electronic device.;CONSTITUTION: An alloy wire (10) comprises a material selected from a group of a silver-gold alloy, a silver-palladium alloy, and a silver-gold-palladium alloy. The wire has the polycrystalline structure of a face-centered cubic lattice, and includes multiple grains. Columnar grains or equiaxed grains are included in the center of the wire. The other part of the wire comprises the equiaxed grains. The amount of the grains having annealing twins is above 20% of the total amount of the grains in the wire.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
