PURPOSE: A device to automatically correct the abrasion of a tool for a machine tool and a method thereof are provided to prevent the waste of time because the device does not need time to measure the tool like a tool measuring device does.;CONSTITUTION: A device (100) to automatically correct the abrasion of a tool for a machine tool comprises a sampling module (110), a correcting period and quantity calculation module (120), an abrasion quantity correcting module (130), and a tool exchange alarm module (140). The abrasion quantity correcting module calculates the abrasion quantity by tool using data which is output from the correcting period and quantity calculation module, the number of processing by current tool, and the loading amount by current tool in a real process using a plurality of tools. The abrasion quantity correcting module reflects the abrasion quantity on the tool for offsetting the abrasion.
