PURPOSE: A method for refining the crystal grain of low carbon steel through an asymmetric rolling method is provided to apply a larger effective stress which is such that compressive stress and shear stress are simultaneously applied to the rolled low carbon steel compared with a symmetric rolling method, thereby improving a mechanical property by refining ferrite crystal grain.;CONSTITUTION: A method for refining the crystal grain of low carbon steel through an asymmetric rolling method asymmetrically hot-rolls an upper and a lower roll in order to improve a mechanical property by refining the ferrite crystal grain of the low carbon steel which contains 0.12 to 0.2 wt% of carbon, passes between the upper and the lower roll, and is hot-rolled. The asymmetric rolling rate of the upper and the lower roll is 30 to 50 %.
