摘要

PURPOSE: Multiple-lane operation apparatus and method are provided to transceive Ethernet frame at the minimum loss rate and to transceive data at a data rate lower than the maximum data rate.;CONSTITUTION: A high speed Ethernet optical link interface structure includes a medium access control higher layer, a medium access control unit(110), a physical coding sub-layer(120) and multiple lanes. The medium access control higher layer performs activated lane modification control according to a received amount of data. The media access control unit generates an activated lane modification control signal by interoperating with the medium access control higher layer and outputs the generated control signal simultaneous with received frame type data. The physical coding sub-layer encodes the transmitted frame from the medium access control unit, distributes and transmits the frame according to the activated lane modification control signal or rearranges the distributively received data from the multiple lanes, restores into a frame type and transmits the frame to the medium access control unit. The multiple lanes parallelly distributively transmit the transmitted data from the physical coding sub-layer.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
