摘要

PURPOSE: A target simulator and a radar performance testing system using thereof are provided to reduce test costs with no need of the expensive equipment, and to simply generate the velocity component of the target simulator by rotating a rotary drum.;CONSTITUTION: A target simulator(1) comprises a rotary drum(15), rotation apparatuses(20,25), and a controller(45). The rotary drum is available to convert the rotational direction and to control the rotating speed. The rotary drum is formed in a cylindrical shape having a rotary shaft formed along a longitudinal direction, and a reflecting surface(16) for reflecting a radar signal from a radar device is formed in the circumferential surface. The reflecting surface is formed with a material capable of reflecting the radar signal. The rotation apparatuses comprise a drum motor generating the driving force for rotating the rotary drum and a transfer unit delivering the driving force from the drum motor to the rotary drum.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (45) Controller
