摘要

PURPOSE: A synthesizing method of Na+-beta alumina is provided to suppress the generation of pores, to reduce the generation of microcracks, and to minimize process by one-step calcinations and sintering infiltrated perform. CONSTITUTION: A synthesizing method of Na+-beta alumina by impregnation of alkali molten salts with porous alpha-alumina preform prepared by a slip casting process comprises a step of manufacturing a slip casting perform through a calcined alpha-alumina; and a step of heat-treating, alkali molten salt-infiltrating, and one-step calcinating and sintering the preform. In the alkali-molten salt-infiltration, a Na source is sodium nitrate and Li source is lithium nitrate. The composition ratio of the alkali molten salts is Na2O : Al2O3 = 1 : 5 (Li2O =0.4 wt% as stabilizer) based on molar ratio.
