PURPOSE: A method for obtaining receipt synchronization in a near field communication system and a device thereof are provided to efficiently and easily obtain synchronization from a receiving signal formed with a frame structure including an STF(Short Training Field) having a repeated pattern.;CONSTITUTION: A receiving device(11) includes a packet detecting unit(13), a gain control unit(14), first processing units(15,16), second processing units(17,18), and a timing synchronizing unit(19). The packet detecting unit detects a packet from a receiving signal based on a plurality of STF patterns. A gain control unit measures power based on the STF patterns and controls an amplification gain of the receiving signal based on the measured power. The first processing units perform frequency error estimation to the STF patterns of the receiving signal to obtain a phase error of each sample unit composing the STF patterns. The first processing units perform first frequency error estimation and compensation for correcting a frequency of the STF patterns based on the obtained phase error. The second processing units perform frequency error estimation to the STF patterns outputted after the first frequency error estimation and compensation to obtain a phase error of each sample unit composing the STF patterns. The second processing units correct the frequency of the STF patterns based on the obtained phase error.
