PURPOSE: A refractory composition of spinel/silicon carbide which strongly controls erosion of coal slag is provided to manufacture a non-chromium refractory composition with excellent corrosion resistance and resistance to the penetration of coal slag including alumina redundancy spinel, silicon carbide, and α-alumina and γ-alumina.;CONSTITUTION: A refractory composition comprises spinel/silicon carbide with a ratio of 25:75-75:25 weight%. The refractory composition comprises 1-15 parts by weight of differential alpha alumina and 1-15 parts by weight of gamma alumina based on 100 parts by weight of spinel/silicon carbide. A manufacturing method of a refractory composition comprises the following steps: (i) adding differential alpha alumina and differential gamma alumina into the spinel-silicon carbide refractory composition; (ii) molding the mixture withwater into a specific form or coating the same with a material with decreased heat resistance; (iii) removing moisture from the molded product or coated molded product; (iv) changing a phase from gamma alumina to alpha alumina by heat-treating the mixture; And (v) combining the alpha alumina which phase changed from gamma alumina with the spinel-silicon carbide refractory composition.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
