PURPOSE: An optical comb generation system and a method thereof are provided to generate an optical comb in a position divided by two or three of a gap between two optical modes using an optical output power ratio between a mode-locked main laser and a cascade semiconductor laser.;CONSTITUTION: A mode-locked main laser(110) generates an optical signal capable of performing optical injection locking for generating an optical frequency comb. A cascade semiconductor laser(120) receives an optical signal capable of performing optical injection locking from the mode-locked main laser. An optical attenuator(130) is connected to the mode-locked main laser using a photosensitive filter or a photosensitive device. The optical attenuator transmits an adjusted optical signal to an optical circulator(140). The optical circulator transmits the optical signal transmitted from the optical attenuator to the cascade semiconductor laser via polarization controller(150). An RF spectrum analyzer(160) or an optical spectrum analyzer(170) analyzes the optical comb generated from the cascade semiconductor laser.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (110) Mode-locked main laser
