PURPOSE: A method for the estimation of cooling speed according to thickness of a high tensile heavy thickness steel plate is provided to arrange a manufacturing foundation to minimize a difference between the cooling speed inside and the cooling speed outside of the surface of a heavy thickness steel plate, and to minimize the material deviation of the inside of the heavy thickness steel plate.;CONSTITUTION: A method for the estimation of thickness-specific cooling speed of a high tensile heavy thickness steel plate comprises the following steps: simulating(S10) a steel plate manufacturing process including the cooling speed conditions of test pieces different from each other; obtaining(S20) a microstructure and test piece hardness value from each test piece; and estimating(S30) the thickness-specific cooling speed of a steel plate by comparing each thickness-specific structure and hardness value with thickness of other parts of a steel plate produced by the manufacturing process.
