Pilot scale composting reactor, a system comprising at least one pilot scale composting reactor and composting optimization procedure. The present invention relates to a pilot scale composting reactor that allows to simulate the process that takes place in industrial plants, finding the optimal value of all the variables that influence the composting process, both those directly related to the development of the reaction of biological degradation of the organic raw material and the growth of the microorganisms responsible for carrying out said reaction, such as the physical conditions that limit the speed of the reaction, since they prevent the correct diffusion of the reagents or products and of this way they cause heterogeneity within the reacting mass, all this to carry out an optimization of the composting process at industrial level in waste treatment centers.
