Test specimens for determination of material properties using ultrasonic stress, which essentially performed a rod and at least one of its two ends can be coupled to an ultrasonic horn. By the ultrasonic standing waves are formed in the sample. These samples consist of two materials that are joined together by an interface (3) and whose length ratios substantially correspond to the ratio of the wavelengths of ultrasonic wave propagation in the respective materials.
