A method for determining rational design and technological parameters of a cooling system of extrusion line for processing thermoplastic materials, according to which the initial data of the cooling process are set followed by the analysis of the cooling process, determination of the boundary conditions, formulation of the problem, solution of the problem and calculation of the value of the objective function, its comparison with desired value, change of initial conditions, and by mathematical calculation the rational values of design and technological parameters of a cooling system of production line are established to ensure the desired temperature of molded thermoplastic material under certain conditions of cooling. The temperature of a molded thermoplastic material is defined as a local maximum and a weight-average temperature.
