The present invention provides a platform that incorporates in vitro cell systems, methods and standard for manipulating and / or analyzing intracellular mobility of cell organelles, important for understanding the underlying cellular processes as well as for the use of cells for medical and biotechnological purposes. The novelty of the present invention is a combination of approaches comprising: i) a method for monitoring the dynamics within cellular organelles to search for biologically active substances (eg, components of sera, cerebrospinal fluid, and other biologically active inorganic or organic molecules and mixtures thereof), ii) a method for determining cell quality for advanced cell therapies; and iii) a method for evaluating and controlling the quality of production of recombinant proteins within eukaryotic cells in relation to intra-organelle mobility. The present invention also provides a basis for studying the effects of various pharmaceutical agents for the treatment / modulation of certain pathological conditions affecting intercellular communication and the related mobility and dynamics within cellular organelles.
