The present invention refers to a flow-measurement ultrasonic device applied in field, which is characterised in that it is a high resolution device of low level of filtrated noises, which provides an improved-quality flow measurement, and which comprises a cabinet including a chassis therein for supporting elements for operating and controlling the device, such as a touch screen, a general purpose microprocessor, a first configuration port, a second configuration port, a digital signal processor (DSP) connected to a field programmable gate array (FPGA) which interacts with the DSP and with a digital-analogue conversion system, also including a transmission-reception switch to which pairs of ultrasonic transducers are connected, also referring to a method for determining the transit times tAB and tBA from the flow measurement ultrasonic device applied in field.
