PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nickel composite oxide having nickel being fine and dispersed homogeneously at the time of power generation and the like. PSOLUTION: In the method for producing the nickel composite oxide whose general formula is denoted as NiSB1-x/SBASBx/SBOSBy/SB(wherein, A is at least an element selected from the group consisting of Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Mn, La, Pr, Sm, Gd, Sc, Y, Ti, Zr and Ce; x is 0.03-0.13; and y is 0.98-1.26), a nickel composite hydroxide whose general formula is denoted as NiSB1-x/SBASBx/SB(OH)SB2y/SB(wherein, A, x and y are same as defined above) is deposited in an aqueous solution where a nickel salt and the salt of A are dissolved by continuously supplying the nickel salt and the salt of A while the concentrations of nickel ions and A ions are kept constant respectively in the aqueous solution and is heat-treated.
