PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional self-evident communication path redundancy system has while maintaining quick switch operation of communication paths when a failure occurs on the communication path. PSOLUTION: During normal operation, only one of redundant communication paths is used to transfer data between hosts A and B. In the host A, data are read from a disk, stored in a segment (RDMA region) on a main memory, and the data are transferred to the host B by using an LMR group 1 via a communication path 1 by RDMA. In the host B, the LMR group 1 is used and the data received from the communication path 1 are stored in the main memory. When the failure occurs in the communication path 1, the hosts A and B switch the LMR group to be used for RDMA from the LMR group 1 to LMR group 2 and restarts data transfer by the RDMA from the segment on the main memory which is not transferred to the host B yet.
