PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of starting a server application alternatively in a computer network system.;SOLUTION: The computer network system 100 comprises a server computer, two or more client computers, a set of a server application loaded to the server computer and a predetermined protocol stack which manages an activation of the server application. This method includes a step by which a system defines two or more statuses about the computer network system and a step in which the system manager specifies a condition for distinguishing whether each of the server applications can be started in each of two or more statuses.
