PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire information about quality of a secondary battery pack from a predetermined security support server and use it for security management related to the secondary battery pack under conditions, where an electronic device operating with the secondary battery pack as a source does not have communication functions, or being under the conditions where the prescribed communication functions are not able to carry out in a normal manner. PSOLUTION: When an electronic device 110 operating with a secondary battery pack 120 as a power source is connected to a charging device 100, a security support server 11 on a network NW is accessed through power line carrier communication (105 and 106), to acquire security management information, such as, recovery-in-market information regarding the secondary battery pack 120. Then, appropriate procedures such as, display on a display part 118 and inhibition of charging are executed, under the management of a system controller 112 (its battery control part 114) of the electronic device 110.
