PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional code with which a background and a code area can be favorably discriminated, and in which the number of cells allocated to non-data is reduced to a minimum and the number of cells allocated to data can be effectively increased.;SOLUTION: A two-dimensional code 1 is configured by arranging a first specific pattern 2 at a predetermined corner 5a of a rectangular area and arranging second specific patterns 3 and 4 adjacently to first boundaries 6a and 6b in contact with the first specific pattern 2 among boundaries 6 of the rectangular area. Further, error correction code blocks 12 are arranged along second boundaries 6c and 6d differing from the boundaries 6 (the first boundaries 6a and 6b) where the second specific patterns 3 and 4 are arranged, among the boundaries 6 of the rectangular area. Each of the error correction code blocks 12 is configured by arranging at least one cell having hue, density, or brightness different from that of a background at a position adjacent to the second boundary 6c or 6d.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
