PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new tuber formation control vector which can be transduced into a plant to control (promote or inhibit) the tuber formation of the plant, and to provide a method for producing a tuber formation-controlled plant with the vector. PSOLUTION: A vector containing LKP2 gene is used as a tuber formation-promoting vector for promoting the tuber formation of a plant. On the other hand, a vector containing a chimera gene containing CONSTANS gene and the DNA sequence of EAR motif is used as a tuber formation-inhibiting vector for inhibiting the tuber formation in the plant. In both the vectors, each gene is preferably transduced under the control of an expression promoter. The plant into which the former vector is transduced promotes the tuber formation, and the plant into which the latter vector is transduced inhibits the tuber formation.
