PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating Australian wheat from other wheat.;SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (i) acid-decomposing a wheat sample to prepare a solution containing an inorganic component; (ii) measuring respective amounts of rubidium, strontium and barium in the solution prepared at the step (i); (iii) separating and condensing strontium in the solution prepared at the step (i) to prepare a solution containing strontium; (iv) analyzing the solution containing strontium prepared at the step (iii) by a mass spectroscope to determine strontium isotopic ratio 87Sr/86Sr; and (v) comparing the respective amounts of rubidium, strontium and barium obtained at the step (ii), the strontium isotopic ratio 87Sr/86Sr obtained at the step (iv) and the amount of each element and the strontium isotopic ratio 87Sr/86Sr of a wheat sample with an origin of a discrimination target.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
