PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load on a computer when using the computer to obtain a load factor showing a degree of load on a target instrument.;SOLUTION: A load factor calculation unit executes the steps of: receiving multiple combinations of load variation and load change rate on a load factor curve LC of each of multiple load factors Lc, as load factor characteristics; converting the combinations into combinations of an angle and a distance that are expressed in a polar coordinate system with setting a maximum load variation and a maximum load change amount as an origin O; receiving a combination of target load variation showing a variation of load on a target instrument and a target load change rate showing a change rate of load thereon; converting the combination of target load variation and target load change rate into a combination of a target angle OD and a target distance OL that are expressed in the polar coordinate system; and using multiple load factor curves LCa in the load factor characteristics after conversion to calculate a load factor OLc corresponding to the combination of the target angle OD and the target distance OL.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
