PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stolen car recovery support system and a stolen car recovery support method that improve the recovery rate of a stolen car.SOLUTION: When a vehicle is stolen, the feature information of a stolen car 10 and an electronic key for a system block to invalidate the traveling of the stolen car 10 are distributed via a base station 3 to a search-cooperating terminal 4, and the terminal 4 is made to store the information and the key. When the terminal 4 for search cooperation moves and enters a short-range communication range with the stolen car 10, the terminal 4 transmits the electronic key for a system block to the stolen car 10 and makes the system-block the stolen car 10. When the system-block of the stolen car 10 is completed, a reply is transmitted to the terminal 4.
