PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging cultivation method for fruit vegetables or flowering plants which facilitates agricultural work and reduces a cultivation space.SOLUTION: A hanging cultivation method for fruit vegetables or flowering plants comprises training vines 2 of fruit vegetables 1 along training strings 3 hung down from above. In the method, the vines 2 are shifted down based on the training strings 3 in conformity to the growth of the vines 2 to make the postharvest parts of the fruit vegetables go slack, and also winds slant parts 4 to perform cultivation. Two or more stocks of the fruit vegetables 1 are set side-by-side in a cultivation chamber to cultivate them while roughly uniforming the height of fruits. The growth environment in the cultivation chamber is controlled by partitioning the chamber in the height direction.
