PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal roofing material having excellent waterproofness, which constitutes a good-looking roof in an integrated manner; and a connection structure of the roofing material.;SOLUTION: A horizontal roofing material includes a roofing material body 1 and folding parts 2 composed of the whole regions between long side parts 1c and 1d folded back toward short side parts 1a and 1b so as to form a step on the external surface of the roofing material body 1. The long side part located on the ridge side is provided with a lower seam 3 which fits to an upper seam 4 adjacently arranged directly thereabove. The long side part located on the eaves side is provided with the upper seam 4 which fits to the lower seam 3. One of the short side parts is provided with a down-stepped part 5a down-stepped from the external part of a roof, including a lower joint 5 with irregularities 5b and 5c along the ridge-eaves direction. Another of the short side parts includes an upper joint 6 which overlaps the adjacently arranged lower joint 5. The upper joint 6 is provided with an abutting part 6a facing the roofing material arranged at the side end face of the down-stepped part 5a, and a rear face grounding part 6b facing the roofing material adjacently arranged in contact with the roof surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
