PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for preventing double registration of greenhouse gas emission quotas, capable of preventing the credit purchase cost of greenhouse gas emission quotas from being used for a plurality of carbon offset businesses, an image forming apparatus and a method for preventing double registration of greenhouse gas emission quotas using the same, and a display device used for registration of greenhouse gas emission quotas.SOLUTION: The system for preventing double registration of greenhouse gas emission quotas in the image forming apparatus 1 has a function to determine whether consumables installed in the image forming apparatus 1 are consumables with greenhouse gas emission quotas; a function to report information of consumables installation message to the image forming apparatus 1; a function to display the information of consumables installation message on the image forming apparatus 1; a function to report the information of consumables installation message to the image forming apparatus 1; a function to report information of credit registration request paper to a server 702 of a public agency; and a function to report the information of consumables information report message on the image forming apparatus 1.
