PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fitting a sealing device that can form a seal part of high sealing property while enabling sealing between the sealing device and a fitted member by a simple method, and to provide the sealing device.SOLUTION: A method for fitting a sealing device is provided for fitting the sealing device 9 for sealing an annular space S formed between inner members (6, 3) and an outer member (7) coaxially rotated relative to each other, to a fitted member 5 of one of the inner members and outer member. Prior to fitting the sealing device to the fitted member, a sealing agent 20 containing a main agent and a curing agent and cured by the mixture of two or more liquids is applied to at least either one of the sealing device and the fitted member, in an overlap position in a fitting direction (d) for each of various solutions 20a, 20b, etc. in the uncured state, and then the sealing device is fitted to the fitted member to form a seal part 21 where the various solutions are mixed and cured.
