Single-stage submerged centrifugal circulating pump for circulation of electrolyte in battery compartment of electric propelled submarine vehicle, has vaneless diffuser whose length is higher than its inlet thickness
The pump (10) has a vaned diffuser whose inlet extends in a prolongation from an outlet of a vaneless diffuser (30). Discharge ports are distributed around a rotational axis (14) of a wheel (11), and cause ejection of a liquid driven back by the pump according to inclined direction that is relative to a meridian plane (98) perpendicular to the axis. The vaneless diffuser extends along a slope relative to the plane that increases with radius to present a curved form relative to the plane, where length of the vaneless diffuser is higher than its inlet thickness (300). An independent claim is also included for a submarine vehicle.
