Internal combustion engine i.e. spark-ignition engine, for use in e.g. car to transmit energy developed by explosion of air-fuel mixture with drive axle, has crankshaft maintaining piston at top dead center during rotational degrees of axle
The engine has a crankshaft for maintaining a piston (P) at a top dead center during few degrees of rotation of a drive axle. An axle of the crankshaft is supported by a rod-clamp (E-B) that oscillates around the drive axle. A side of the rod-clamp carries bearings of the crankshaft, where another side of the rod-clamp is centered on the drive axle. A cam (Ca) is fixed on the crankshaft, and includes a perfect profile in an active part of the cam to cause lifting of the crankshaft in desired quantity to maintain the piston at the top dead center during degrees of rotation.
