The device (1) has a support fitting (2) whose support branch (3) receives a formwork board and holding branch (4) rests on an upper wing (5) of a beam (6). A locking element (12) has a quadrangular cross-sectional part (13) with a rear wall (14) and a longitudinal slot (15) bordered by return portions (16). The element part is engaged on the beam such that the holding branch is inserted between the wall and the beam. A screw or cam (17) of the element is supported on the holding branch to exert a thrust on the element part such that the return portions enclose under-surfaces (8) of the wing.
