Removing acid compounds contained in a gaseous effluent, comprises (a) contacting the acid compounds with the gaseous effluent solution comprising at least one amine and a regeneration agent comprising at least one carbonyl compound, (b) separating the gaseous effluent into a stream enriched in regeneration medium and a gas stream depleted regeneration agent, (c) contacting the absorbent solution loaded with acid compounds obtained in step (a) with the regenerating agent, and (d) separating the enriched gas stream acid compounds to produce a stream enriched in regeneration medium. Removing acid compounds contained in a gaseous effluent, comprises (a) contacting the acid compounds with the gaseous effluent solution comprising at least one amine and a regeneration agent comprising at least one carbonyl compound, to form a solution loaded with acid compounds and an effluent depleted gas enriched in acidic compounds and regenerating agent, (b) separating the gaseous effluent obtained in step (a) into a stream enriched in regeneration medium and a gas stream depleted regeneration agent, (c) contacting the absorbent solution loaded with acid compounds obtained in step (a) with the regenerating agent separated in steps (b) and (d) in a regeneration zone to release a gas stream comprising the acid compounds and produce a solution depleted in acid compounds and a fraction comprising regeneration agent, and (d) separating the enriched gas stream acid compounds obtained in step (c) to produce a stream enriched in regeneration medium and a purified acid gas.
