The method involves culturing a sample of grasses, and removing a core for each grass, where the core includes soil and vegetal cover. The total carbon and one of parameters such as total nitrogen, humidity and fractionation, are analyzed in the core. The capacity to capture and sequester the carbon di oxide is determined for each of species and each variety of the species by a cultivation duration unit and a cultivated surface unit, by using the total carbon and other parameters. The species or the variety is selected according to the capacity to capture and sequester the carbon di oxide. An independent claim is also included for a method for obtaining compositions of seeds of grasses.
