The display-case (10) has a cylindrical base plate (12) provided with a polygonal or square shaped base, and a horizontal flat face (14) resting on a horizontal support. A surface (15) arranged opposite the flat face has shape of a basin to receive a memorial medal, where the basin shaped surface has truncated ellipsoid or truncated spheroid shape. A lid (16) is placed above the basin shaped surface. The lid has a main flat inner face with which ends (19, 20) of an elastic unit (18) e.g. flexible strip, are fixed.
