Foldable flexible roof for convertible automobile, has transformation mechanism with transformation element whose movement has turning back point corresponding to closing position of front crosspiece during driving course of carriage
The roof has a transformation mechanism (25) for providing a plating movement to a front crosspiece (24) in an oblique direction with respect to a direction of a lateral guiding rail by transforming a linear movement of a driving carriage (251) in the rail. The driving carriage is connected to a front carriage (252). The mechanism has a transformation element i.e. shifting arm (255), whose movement is controlled by the linear displacement of the carriage and has a turning back point corresponding to a closing position of the front crosspiece during a driving course of the carriage.
