The contactor has a power cable divided into two parts by two cables (118a, 118b) electrically connected to a voltage source. An additional resistor is formed by one of the cables electrically connected to an additional electric conductive terminal (142) that is electrically connected to a slow-speed fixed contact (44). The other cable is electrically connected to a full-power level fixed contact (42). The former cable is made of aluminum and the latter cable is made of copper.
