A process for the efficient transmission of data sets in relation to points of interest between two communicating vehicles in a v2v - system, without initially fully text data sets have to be transmitted, is created. A polling request is made from a first vehicle to a second vehicle are transmitted, the special information with regard to its which contains data records for the first vehicle. Data, which meet the polling request, which are shown, by means of a global unique index numbers, are degraded in order to the similarity between the data to determine the two communicating vehicles. The similarity is used, in order to determine whether a complete filtered set of global unique index numbers to the second vehicle to determine which sets of data records are no double, should be transmitted. Then transmits the second vehicle the non-overlapping data, which meet the polling request, in a wireless manner to the first vehicle.
