The steam turbine plant has a shaft with two ends, where a low pressure steam turbine (30a,30b) is provided at each end of the shaft. A generator (10) and a steam turbine train (12) are provided between the two low pressure steam turbines, where the steam turbine train has a high pressure steam turbine (14). The steam turbine train is connected to the low pressure steam turbine through a feed line (27a).
