Device i.e. pulper, for wetting e.g. pulp during preparation of map source material in paper industry, has torque motor for producing high torque for driving spiral or helical rotor to mix wetting liquid with fiber material
The device i.e. pulper (1), has a housing (3) comprising an airtight-lockable aperture (4) that is arranged below the pulper for filling and emptying wetting liquid (10) e.g. water and chemical, in the housing. A torque motor (6) produces a high torque for driving a spiral or helical rotor (5) to mix the wetting liquid with a fiber material (2) e.g. pulp and paper. An interaction unit (7) interacts the housing with a low pressure system (8) that is provided as an integral part in the device. The low pressure system comprises a water-ring pump (9) for generating low pressure. An independent claim is also included for a method for wetting a fiber material.
